WELLINGTON ELEMENTARY PTA

HELPING HANDS SERVICE CLUB 2011 – 2012

EVERYONE IS INVITED!!!

First Friday of Each Month from 3:00- 4:00 pm in the Gym

Our mission is to provide opportunities for Wellington students to become more conscious of the needs of others and to serve our community in positive ways. Simply put, we hope to care for and share with those in need in our local community. We will meet the first Friday of each month directly after school in the gym. The club is open to all Wellington students K-6. Students may attend month to month, however, permission forms need to be on file for students to attend. Parents also are invited and needed to help us on project days. We have a Helping Hands collection box for donations by the school office with a list of items needed for projects. We also collect clothing donations each meeting for Threads and Treads, our local clothing bank for Northshore students. Why join?

CLOTHING BANK DONATIONS:

Gently used clothing for school–aged children is collected at each Helping Hands club meeting to be donated to Threads & Treads, the Northshore School District clothing bank.  Thanks to all who have donated items to date.  Donations can be made at any time to the Helping Hands collection bin outside the office.  These make our club projects possible!

IMPORTANT CLUB COMMUNICATION:

We are working to make our club events run as smoothly and safely as possible with our large numbers.  We have designated the North door of the gym as our Entrance and the South door as our Exit.  Parents need to come into the gym to pick up their students and sign them out at our registration tables.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Questions?? Contact Meggin Mann (meggin@amazeent.com) or Tina Stember (tstember@gmail.com). A simple snack will be served at each meeting. Please advise if there are special dietary needs. One form is needed per student. We are looking forward to another great year of service!
