It's the month of Parent/Teacher Conferences & Thanksgiving! We continue to be grateful and appreciative for your support of Webster's Challenge. Our Food Drive is November 17 – 21. With SNAP benefits expiring as of today, it is critical that we get as many items as possible donated to help families in our community. This year, Wellington has challenged Leota Middle School to see which school can bring the most items. The drive runs the same week as Parent/Teacher Conferences; have your student drop off items in the morning, or bring them with you when you meet with your student’s teacher. Keep reading below for a list of high-need items.

Some Important Emergency Reminders:
If you are volunteering at school and a drill or a true emergency occurs, please remain with your class until you are directed to exit the building. Once outside, all volunteers should check in with Ms. Beavo in the Courtyard (specifically by the table near the Publishing Room). Ms. Beavo will then take attendance so we can also account for all adults at school. If you arrive to school while a drill is happening, please proceed straight to the Courtyard to check in.
Please also remember to return your Emergency Comfort Kits to school. Per Wellington World send September 25: "We want to be prepared in case a disaster ever happened while your child is at school. Therefore, we are requesting every family create a simple Comfort Kit for each child who attends Wellington. The idea behind these Comfort Kits is to help keep the kids calmer in case of an emergency situation. Please make and send in your child's Emergency Comfort Kit [as soon as possible; kit should include a gallon ziploc, family photo, note from adult, nut-free snack & an emergency blanket.]"

Check out our new Spirit Wear designs for this year (designed by a Wellington parent). Spirit Wear is on sale here, and proceeds from sales go back to PTA to support our school grants, programs and events! Donate previously loved Spirit Wear to the PTA; we'll have another free Spirit Wear Swap at an event in the coming year. Donation bin is in the main office.
