Excerpt from Northshore School District ParentSquare email sent on October 21, 2025:

If your family receives SNAP benefits, your child will continue to receive free school meals throughout the school year. If your family currently is not enrolled in SNAP but needs food assistance, we encourage you to apply for free or reduced-price meals.

If you qualify for free or reduced-price meals you may also qualify for:

  • School fee waivers: a fee waiver form must also be completed.
  • Other services such as health insurance: contact your school nurse for more information.

The
online application only takes a few minutes and is the fastest, easiest way to get approved. Learn more on our Food and Nutrition Services website.

Additionally, the school district and local partners provide food resources throughout our community.
This map lists food banks, school and community pantries, weekend backpack programs, and Little Free Pantries in one easy place. This helpful resource was compiled by our incredible Northshore volunteers and partners. Contact for questions or more information: Northshore Nourishing Networks, terra@terracommunities.org. Food program details can change so please check the map regularly. For school-based pantries, contact your school’s main office or nurse for the most current information. Additional support is also available through the 2-1-1 website.”
